1. Welcome and the current edition
IPTV Deluxe Player organises your permitted Live TV, movies and series into a local Windows catalogue. It does not supply subscriptions, channels or playlists. Use only sources and media you are entitled to access.
This guide covers desktop version 0.48.1, including shared-stream Live view while recording and the seek and Resume correction. Service setup, catalogue cleanup and per-user history transfers appear in their normal workflow. Install through Microsoft Store and check About for your installed version; Store availability may differ while an update is being certified.
Every application screenshot in this guide was freshly captured from version 0.48.1 using fictional data. The example email was generated by that version too. No customer service configuration, real catalogue or provider stream was used.
Back to contents2. Install, Buy now and software updates

All public app installations come from the official Microsoft Store listing. Select Get it from Microsoft Store on the website, follow the Store prompts and open the player from Start. The Store download is free. Continued use after the trial requires a valid activation code.
The startup chooser offers a synthetic website demo or bundled offline demo without an IPTV account. The demo uses a separate fictional catalogue. Choose Open full player to use your own services; the demo does not activate it.
Buy now opens the website purchase page in your browser. Secure PayPal checkout is available. Review the displayed price and purchase terms before paying. If a paid response or email is missing, use Check purchase or verify your purchase email on the recovery page; do not pay again to recover the same code. Clicking the button does not charge you.
Microsoft Store delivers approved software updates. The About window opens the Store page. Select Start a 7-day trial to register for a trial code, or Enter activation code for your activation code. Copy the code from its email; a PayPal transaction number is not an activation code.
Keep a backup before moving from an older installation. The Store edition can use a different application data folder. Contact support before transferring an existing catalogue. Uninstall through Windows Settings > Apps.
Purchased access includes one year of updates. After that year you can keep using your last eligible version or optionally renew updates. Read the purchase terms shown on the website before buying.
Back to contents3. Find your way around the player

Choose the user profile before browsing. The catalogue and completed media are shared; favourites, notes, history, watched marks, resume positions and email preferences belong to the selected profile.
Use the left menu to choose Live TV, Movies, Series, Favourites, Watch later, New releases, Recently watched, recordings or downloads. Select a service or All services, then a category. The list and details pane show the selected item.
Search applies to the selected collection. Use the search-field selector, language tags and genre filter to narrow results. The details pane contains Play, favourite, rating, notes and available download or recording actions.
Use list or card views and the available sorting options: newest imported, newest released, highest rating, name or category. Load further batches when a list has more results.
Back to contents4. Choose a USER and keep household records separate

USER means a local player profile, not an IPTV login. Use USER > Manage to create, rename or remove up to five profiles. Select the correct person before playing, rating titles or using their email links.
The catalogue and completed media are shared. Favourites, Watch later, notes, watched marks, resume/history, thumbs ratings and email preferences belong to the selected profile. These household profiles are not password-protected Windows accounts.
A player profile can use any saved service. Peter can use the home account belonging to his wife under Peter's profile, then use a different IPTV login on a travelling laptop. Her profile stays separate unless a deliberate copy is made.
User switching is held while the viewer is open, keeping progress with the person who started playback. Catalogue updates combine favourite series from every profile, checking each distinct show once.
Back to contents5. Add or remove your IPTV account

Open Settings > Manage services. Add the account details supplied by your IPTV provider and give it a friendly name. Save up to five services. Alternative server addresses within one service use the same IPTV account; they do not create extra streaming allowance.
To remove an account, select it and click Remove selected. Delete this service’s catalogue too is selected by default. It removes that account’s channels, movies, series, episodes, guide and related favourites and watched progress from every profile. Untick it if you want to keep the saved listings.
Click Remove service, then Save services to apply the change. Cancel before saving keeps the account and catalogue. Removing the account stops future playback/updates through it and cancels future recording activity. Catalogue deletion also deletes that service's scheduled recordings. Completed recordings and downloaded files remain on disk.
Close viewing and finish recordings, downloads or catalogue updates before saving account changes. Provider credentials stay in private local configuration; keep them out of shared folders and support attachments.
Back to contents6. Receive a service through a one-time link

In Manage services, choose Receive a service. Create a one-time setup link and give it to the person supplying your account. Links expire after 72 hours. Copy link and Cancel link let you share or withdraw the invitation.
The supplier opens that link on the website and sends one service with its name and account details. The delivery is encrypted for the intended player. Keep details private shows only its friendly name in normal player screens. The customer release has no testing reveal shortcut. This hides details on screen; it does not make credentials impossible to inspect on the owner's computer.
The player checks for available delivery at startup, and Check for new services lets you refresh manually. Received entries are reviewed locally. The website cannot silently change an account, merge history or remove a saved service.
Add uses an empty service slot. Merge lets you replace the credentials of an existing service when the normalised server URL matches. It preserves the service identity and catalogue, including show lists, and the history and favourites for the same player USER profile. USER means your player profile, not the IPTV login username; that login may be different. Every existing USER keeps their own records. Only compatible services are offered, and you confirm the change locally.
Delete and replace appears only at the five-service limit. Review both account names. Saving deletes the chosen old account, catalogue and related history across all users, plus its scheduled recordings, then adds the incoming service. Completed media and other services remain. This does not cancel a provider subscription.
Use selected service prepares the choice. Save services in the manager applies it. Cancel before Save preserves existing accounts, catalogues and schedules. A received entry safely saved locally can be reviewed offline.

7. Remove obsolete database catalogues

Settings > Catalogue services lists every service represented in the database, including orphan catalogues whose saved account has already been removed. Counts show series, movies and channels.
Select one service, or several with Ctrl/Shift. Choose Delete selected catalogue entries and review the names and counts. Confirming deletes listings, episodes, guide and related favourites, watched history and pending transfers across all USER profiles, plus scheduled recordings for those services.
Saved server/login settings, unselected services, completed recordings and downloaded files remain. You can import a fresh catalogue later using the saved account. Orphan records can be deleted without restoring old credentials.
Deletion is immediate when its confirmation is accepted; cancelling Settings afterwards does not undo it. This differs from removing an account in Manage services, which is applied when you Save services.
Back to contents8. Import a playlist and attach its programme guide

Settings > Import or refresh playlist accepts an authorised local M3U/M3U8/text playlist or a direct playlist/ZIP web address. Give it a provider name. Test and import checks candidate streams before the catalogue is changed; watch its progress or Cancel. Run this provider work with viewing closed.
Playlist import adds tested Live channels, not a movie/series subscription. Playable addresses stay in private local source configuration and out of the catalogue and diagnostic log.
Afterward use Refresh guide only for a local XMLTV XML/XML.GZ file or direct guide-file address. Guide refresh does not test playlist streams again. Matching uses channel guide identifiers; guide coverage depends on your source.
Visible channels lets you choose which imported channels appear. A playable channel can have no guide, and a guide identifier does not guarantee a programme match.
Back to contents9. Update the catalogue manually

One-operation rule: Each IPTV service account can do only one operation at a time: update its catalogue; view one channel, movie or episode; or record one channel with optional Live view of that same recording. Recording with Live view is one shared-stream operation. Do not view a different show or update the catalogue on that recording account. Different accounts may each run their own operation at the same time.
Update catalogue is manual. Open the importer, choose an idle service and select Import. The selected account cannot be recording or being watched, including a paused/minimised viewer. You can update another account while recording continues. Close IBO or another player using the account you are updating first.
The update window can open while a different account is viewing or recording. Its selected account must be idle, and the button waits for other provider information work or active downloads to finish. This player cannot detect IBO or another app/computer using the same service. Close that other playback yourself before an import.
Four stages run in order: Live, Movies, Series names, then Favourite series episodes. Category and title indexes are loaded first; the final stage checks only favourite series. The progress window reports downloading and saving.
- Close playback in this player and any other player using the service.
- Select Update catalogue and choose the correct service.
- Select Import, watch the progress bars and wait for completion or Cancel.
- Close the update window and browse the saved catalogue.
10. Favourite-only episode checks
During a catalogue update, favourite series from all saved profiles are combined. Each distinct series in the selected service is checked once. A series favourited by two people does not cause two episode checks.
A favourite whose episodes have never been opened is included. A cached series that is not a favourite is skipped during this final update stage, while its saved episodes remain available. Favourite movies or Live channels do not create episode checks.
Valid new episodes are merged with saved episodes. Existing episodes, watched marks, resume progress and notes are retained. A partial or bad provider response does not discard the usable saved list.
To stop checking a show during updates, remove it from favourites in every profile that has favourited it. Selecting a non-favourite show can still load its episode list when needed.
Back to contents11. Cancel, retry and provider limits

Use Cancel in the import window to stop the current update. Already completed catalogue stages remain saved. A cancelled database save rolls back that stage, and previously saved episode lists remain available.
If a stage fails, read its status, check the service and connection, and retry when the service is idle. The app keeps request details and provider passwords out of the user-facing error text.
An import is metadata work, but providers may impose their own connection limits. This player sends catalogue requests sequentially. It cannot promise how a provider counts those requests, or that another player will be allowed to stream at the same time.
If IBO fails while this app is open, test with our app idle, with no viewer, download, recording or import running. Preserve the exact error and contact support if the problem continues.
The app checks the selected account before an import starts. A scheduled recording cancels an import on its own account and waits for that request to finish before opening the recording stream. An import on a different account continues. Recording reserves its account during startup as well as capture; a different service name for the same server and IPTV login does not supply another stream allowance.
Back to contents12. Live TV and programme guides

Choose Live TV, a service and All or a category. Search or select a channel, then choose Watch live or Play. The details pane can show current and upcoming programmes when a matching saved XMLTV guide exists.
A channel can play without guide data. An EPG identifier does not guarantee a matching programme listing. Coverage and freshness depend on the XMLTV source you provide.
Browse saved guide data normally. Use Refresh guide explicitly when you need a newer copy, with playback closed. Refresh guide only updates the guide rather than retesting playlist streams. Local XML and XML.GZ guide files can be matched by channel tvg-id.
Back to contents13. Movies and offline playback

Choose Movies and a category, search for a title and select its row. The details pane shows the metadata available for that movie, personal actions and playback controls. Artwork, plot, ratings and trailers may be missing when a provider does not supply them.
Choose Play to watch or resume from saved progress when available. Add favourite, Watch later, a note, or a thumbs-up/down rating independently.
Download movie queues a compatible permitted source for offline viewing. Completed media can be played from Offline downloads. Metadata and exact-sort preparation can require provider access, so request them when playback and provider work are idle.
Back to contents14. Series, seasons and watched progress

Choose Series, a category and a show. The initial catalogue import loads series names, not every episode of every show. Selecting a show loads its episodes when needed; a usable saved episode list can be read locally.
Choose a season and Play beside the episode. Saved progress supports resuming. Use the watched/completed controls and notes to manage your own viewing state. Other local profiles have their own progress.
Catalogue updates refresh episodes only for favourite series across saved profiles. Previously loaded non-favourites stay in the database but are skipped by that update stage. Add a show to favourites if you want its new episodes checked during future updates.
Back to contents15. Released, Imported and individual genres

Released filters the programme release date. Imported filters when the item first entered your local catalogue. Both run from the selected starting point through the present.
Last week covers the past seven days. Last month starts one calendar month ago. This year starts on 1 January of this year. Last year starts on 1 January of the previous year and includes this year through today. Released includes today; Imported ends at the current time.
The genre choices contain one genre per line. A provider label such as Comedy/Action/Horror supplies Action, Comedy and Horror as separate choices. Selecting Comedy finds titles with Comedy anywhere in that genre label. Multiword names such as Science Fiction remain together.
Choose a language tag or remove it with X, then select a genre to narrow the local collection. A title with only a release year can match the year presets; an exact week/month filter needs a full release date. Missing metadata can limit results.
The Genre list offers suggestions while you type. Selecting a suggestion collapses the list; the × button clears the selection. Search can target All fields, Title, Genre/category, Actor/director or Description. Results depend on saved provider metadata. Extended search can expose a hidden-category match; adult protection remains separate.
New releases also lets you choose media types and acknowledge additions with Mark updates seen. Show hidden categories includes categories hidden in Settings; adult protection remains separate.
Back to contents16. Favourites, Watch later, ratings and notes

Add favourite saves a title to the selected profile. Watch later is a separate list. Notes are personal, and thumbs up/down records your opinion separately from favourite status.
For AI preferences, rated titles form the watched/rated set used for taste choices; a favourite mark alone does not mean you have watched or rated the show. Change ratings without removing a favourite.
Favourites provide quick access to titles you follow. Watch later holds titles you plan to try. Notes and ratings belong to the selected USER. A favourite is not automatically a watched title; thumbs ratings, playback progress and favourite status are separate records.
Back to contents17. Recently watched and selective history cleanup

Recently watched brings started or completed Live TV, movies and series episodes into one list for the current USER, newest activity first. It is a practical way to find what you last watched without remembering its category.
Choose the media-type filter, service and other applicable filters to narrow the list. Open a movie or episode to resume when saved progress is available; a Live channel starts its live feed rather than resuming an old broadcast.
In Settings > Choose watched items, review personal history by date or media type and select the entries to clear. This is separate from deleting the shared catalogue. Other USER profiles retain their own records.
Back to contents18. Take history travelling or copy between users

Open Settings > Transfer favourites and history. Choose one source USER and service, then Export to file. The .iptvhistory file contains that user's favourites, Watch later, watched marks, history/resume, manual episode marks and thumbs ratings. Transfer it privately.
Set up the other computer's IPTV account separately. Open history file, choose a destination USER and a compatible saved service. Compatibility uses a matching normalised server URL, including scheme, port and path. The IPTV login usernames may differ. A same-name USER is selected, or Create user is offered if a profile slot is free.
Review and import names the destination user/service and shows matched/pending counts before Import now. Cancel makes no change. For example: Peter at home > Peter on the laptop with a different IPTV login > Peter at home after travelling.
Copy between users makes a local copy without a file. Select the source, click Copy between users, explicitly choose the destination profile and compatible service, then confirm.
Imports combine favourites and watched marks, keep the newest resume timestamp and do not duplicate play counts on repeat imports. Existing destination thumbs ratings are kept. Removing a favourite or watched mark is not propagated as a deletion.
Missing or mismatched titles remain pending until matching item IDs, titles and episode identity become available in the destination catalogue. No provider request is triggered by the transfer. Account passwords/URLs, notes, settings, licences, video files and schedules are not exported or changed.

19. Audio, subtitles and playback controls

In Settings, save your preferred audio and subtitle languages in priority order. After media loads, the player chooses from the tracks actually present. If preferred audio is missing, it keeps the stream default; if preferred subtitles are missing, they stay Off. Automatic preserves the stream default.
Use the viewer audio/subtitle controls to change the current playback session. Unlabelled tracks remain selectable. A language preference does not add or translate a missing track.
Use play/pause, mute, volume and available movie/episode seeking. Space toggles play/pause, F enters full screen and Escape exits it. Double-click the video to toggle full screen; move the pointer to reveal hidden controls.
Settings keep separate startup buffers for Live TV and Movies/Series. A larger buffer can take longer to start. Close the viewer fully to release the catalogue-update lock.
The viewer also displays its recent stream-health status while playing. This relates to that playback session, separately from the historical Service health screen.
Version 0.48.1 corrects seek and Resume for some HTTP movies and episodes whose native stream reports no duration. The player can use saved catalogue duration, confirms that playback advances at the requested position and preserves the previous saved position if Resume fails. Live view of a recording follows the live broadcast and does not offer this rewind behaviour.
Back to contents20. Offline download queues

Choose Download movie or the download action beside an episode. One transfer runs at a time per provider/account. Different providers can have separate queues, subject to the app playback and maintenance rules.
The persistent strip shows title, progress, transferred size, speed and estimated time remaining. If a source does not report its total size, the app shows live bytes without inventing an exact total.
Queued downloads wait during catalogue/provider updates or playback. Completed downloads are shared by local profiles. Show in folder selects the saved file in File Explorer.
Cancel removes a waiting item or stops its transfer and removes the incomplete part. Closing the app cancels active downloads and clears the in-memory waiting queue; it does not erase completed files. Keep enough free disk space; the default reserve is 5 GB.
Back to contents21. Record now and schedule recordings

Select an Xtream Live TV channel and choose Record now, or click Record in the live viewer. Set the duration and optional programme description. Recording starts when confirmed and cannot recover earlier broadcast content.
Continue watching this channel while recording switches the viewer to Live view. The recorder opens one provider connection and supplies both the saved recording and the live picture. A brief restart can occur during this handover. Live view follows the current broadcast; it is not a rewind or catch-up player.
Record this channel and watch another IPTV account is offered only when another saved account is available. Choose it in the list; the app returns to that account’s Live TV catalogue so you can choose a channel or show. Record only closes the viewer and keeps capture running.
The bottom-right recording display has a Live view button. The active row in Scheduled recordings also has Live view. Either opens the recording’s current picture without requesting a second provider stream. Closing Live view keeps recording. Stop and save recording finishes capture and keeps the recorded file; the recording’s Live view closes when capture ends.
Schedule recording supports Once, Daily and Weekly, programme start/end, optional description and the Start recording 30 seconds early option. The early section stays at the start of the saved file. Keep the program open and Windows awake before the due time; the app prevents sleep during capture.
When the account you are watching is due to record, a warning appears one minute before capture. It names the programme, account and duration. Choose record only, watch the recording live, or choose another available IPTV account, then Yes - continue. No - skip this recording cancels this occurrence while retaining a repeating schedule’s next occurrence. If unanswered, viewing on that account closes at the due time and recording starts automatically; record only remains the default.
While recording, another channel, movie or episode on the same IPTV account is blocked. Catalogue updates on that account are also blocked. A different IPTV account may be watched or updated; its viewer is not interrupted by this recording. Alternate server addresses within one account are not extra accounts. Saving the same server and IPTV login under another service name does not bypass the restriction.
Recording size estimates use completed recording history when available. The live-view setup opens no extra sample stream. Different accounts may record concurrently, but overlapping recordings on one account are refused. Download activity on the recording account is paused until capture ends.

22. Stop or cancel a recording

Stop gracefully finalises the active recording, keeps what has been recorded so far and moves the file into completed history. Future Daily/Weekly occurrences remain scheduled.
Cancel abandons the current occurrence, removes the unfinished part and stops a Daily/Weekly recurrence. Read the action before confirming it; Stop and Cancel have different outcomes.
Use Play for a completed recording, Show in folder to find its file and Edit description to adjust its label. Check actual free space and the reserve in Settings when a recording cannot start.
Changing the recording folder affects new recordings; it does not move old ones. Provider interruption, a closed app or a sleeping computer can prevent a complete recording.
Live view does not start a second recording or another provider stream. Closing that viewer leaves capture running. Stop closes that recording’s live feed and keeps the captured file; Cancel removes unfinished media. A completed recording plays locally without occupying an IPTV account.
Back to contents23. Set up catalogue update emails

Choose the user profile, then open Email settings. Enable Send an email after a manual catalogue update. Enter the mail settings supplied by your email provider: SMTP server, port, secure connection, username, password or app password, From address and recipients.
Choose New movies, New series, New live channels and the favourite-episode option as required. Email choices belong to the profile, even though catalogue episode checks use the combined favourites of all profiles.
Send test email checks mail connectivity using the displayed settings. It is not a new-content example and does not import the catalogue. Save email settings after checking the configuration.
Email preparation uses saved catalogue data and SMTP separately after provider work stops. Failed mail retains its pending checkpoint for retry. The first import establishes a baseline instead of sending the entire starting catalogue.
Back to contents24. Preview email without sending

View email layout (no sending) opens a local preview built from the eligible saved catalogue. It does not send mail, contact the IPTV provider or change the automatic email checkpoint. This is the best way to inspect the layout first.
Send New releases preview is different: it sends an example of eligible items from the last seven days using your mail settings. It does not advance the normal update-email checkpoint.
The formatted email separates movies, series, Live channels and new episodes of favourite shows. It includes saved artwork and direct player actions. Mail software may hide external images until you choose Show images.
Known YouTube trailer links come from provider metadata saved in the catalogue, including valid links supplied in title indexes. Email preparation does not search YouTube or fetch extra provider details. Missing trailer links are omitted.
Back to contents25. Click an email to open the player

Open the email on the Windows computer whose catalogue generated it, with IPTV Deluxe Player installed. If the player is already open, select the profile that received the email. A link does not silently switch to another person's history.
Click Play movie, an episode button or Watch live to open the matching item for playback. Click Open series & choose episode to open that show in the main browser, then choose an episode. A series link does not arbitrarily play its first episode.
Your mail app or browser may ask to open IPTV Deluxe Player. Accept the normal app-open prompt when it is the expected link. If your mail client blocks application links, use a compatible Windows mail client/browser or open the named title in the player.
These local app links need the same catalogue and an entitled full player. They cannot carry your provider credentials to another computer or make missing media available. Trailer buttons open YouTube separately.
Back to contents26. Service health: understand connection history

Service health shows each saved catalogue service's recorded endpoint checks: enabled server count, successful and failed checks, average successful response latency, and health percentage.
The percentage is the proportion of recorded checks that succeeded. Not measured means no checks are saved. Opening this screen reads local history and does not start a background stream or probe every channel.
Use it to compare recorded connection results and describe a problem to support. It is historical evidence, not a promise of current channel availability or a diagnosis that a provider has banned an account. Playback also uses available alternative endpoints within the account's one-stream allowance.
Back to contents27. All shows: organise ratings and preferences

All shows displays movies and series separately in a searchable table, with batches of 200 and Load more for larger lists. Open a matched title, change favourites, add thumbs ratings, or use the import tools.
Thumbs up/down is your opinion for the current USER. Rated titles supply the preference history for AI suggestions; a favourite alone does not mean you have watched or rated a title.
The table gives you a practical place to build your taste profile and review many titles together. Catalogue language labels remain separate from the actual audio/subtitle tracks discovered during playback.
Back to contents28. AI suggestions: review the prompt first

Open AI suggestions and configure your own supported API settings. Choose your preferences, media type, genre, quantity and other available options. The key is masked; do not include it in screenshots or support messages.
Review the exact preferences-only prompt before submitting it. Approval is required before the paid request is sent. Declining the prompt sends nothing. The available catalogue is not scanned beforehand or sent to the AI.
The working display shows activity and elapsed time and permits cancellation. A response may include titles that are not in your catalogue. Availability is checked locally after the reply arrives.
An AI request can incur API charges; its saved history records available cost information. Cancellation does not promise that a request already submitted is free.
Back to contents29. AI results, languages and saved searches

Results appear grey first, then local catalogue matching checks the saved recommendations. Green identifies the verified preferred match. Amber shows available alternatives, such as other language versions. Grey remains unverified or unavailable.
Use the clickable local alternatives to open the title you want. Original provider-labelled names are retained. Similar names, wrong release years and unrelated titles are not assumed to be the same show.
Open Saved searches, select the existing result and choose Open selected to recheck it locally. This does not submit another AI request. Use this after a catalogue update or matching improvement; do not generate again merely to refresh availability.
If local matching was cancelled, the saved reply remains available and can finish matching when reopened. Suggestions are recommendations; only your own permitted sources provide playback.
Back to contents30. CSV lists: bulk favourites and ratings

A CSV is a small spreadsheet-style text file. Its purpose here is to turn a list of wanted movies or series into reviewed favourites without finding and ticking every title individually. It is also useful for a list prepared elsewhere, or for a catalogue export with reference IDs.
Open All shows or AI suggestions and choose Import favourites CSV. Use columns Title,Type,Language, with optional reference_id. Type must be Movie or Series. Language is the catalogue label, not proof of an audio track. Example: Example Comedy,Series,English.
Choose the file. Rows appear for review before anything is added. If reference IDs are included, confirm the service and verify its IDs and titles. Green rows are confirmed; unmatched or different titles require your review. Choose the intended local match rather than assuming the first similar name is right.
Tick the rows you approve, optionally choose thumbs ratings, and click Confirm import. Duplicate rows and already-added favourites are skipped. Ratings are saved only for approved rows. Changes belong to the current USER.
A favourites CSV does not add IPTV accounts, download media or transfer full viewing history. For home/laptop transfers use Transfer favourites and history. Episode progress uses the separate import described next.
Back to contents31. Import previously watched episodes from CSV or JSON
Use Import episode progress in All shows or AI suggestions when you have an episode viewing record from another compatible source. This is separate from a favourites CSV.
The source must identify type=episode, title, series_reference_id, episode_reference_id and viewed=true/false. Optional progress_percent is 0-100, or progress_ratio is 0-1. A JSON file uses schema_version=1 and an episodes list.
Choose the correct service and review verification. Series ID, series title and episode ID must match saved catalogue entries. If episodes are absent, load that show first and verify again. A percentage needs a known duration to calculate a resume time.
Approve the verified rows before saving. Existing player history is kept. A viewed entry without a percentage means Previously viewed - progress unknown, not a claim of full completion. Duplicate identical records are suppressed; conflicting duplicates must be corrected.
For transfers between our own installations, prefer the .iptvhistory workflow: it includes broader personal state, works with different IPTV logins at compatible URLs, and can retain missing metadata as pending.
Back to contents32. Settings, hidden categories and privacy

Settings controls visible categories, display batches, language filters, startup buffers, download/recording folders, disk reserve, adult protection and selected watched-history cleanup. Save settings to keep changes.
Hiding a category changes what is shown; it does not delete the catalogue. Adult content is hidden by default. Manage the adult PIN through the controls provided and keep it private.
Choose watched items opens a review table so you can filter by date or media type and select only the personal history entries to clear. Check the list before confirming.
The shared catalogue does not contain provider passwords or playable private playlist addresses. Private source/mail configuration remains on your computer. Never send your service file, mailbox password, API key or playable source to support.
Back to contents33. Back up, get help and solve common problems
Close the app before making a private backup of your local catalogue and required private configuration. Store it in a location you control. Completed downloads and recordings are separate files and must be backed up separately if you want to keep them.
Click the player logo for About, version and support details. Save a diagnostic report if available, review it and report the exact error, version and action that triggered the problem. Avoid sending private service data.
Empty catalogue: add/import your source or run Update catalogue while idle. Empty guide: import or refresh the correct XMLTV source. Missing new episodes: favourite the series in at least one saved profile, then update manually.
Update unavailable: wait for provider information or active downloads to finish. In the importer, choose an account that is not being watched or recorded; other accounts can update during recording. No trailer: the provider may not have supplied a valid link. Email link unavailable: check the correct computer, catalogue, profile, installed protocol handler and full-player entitlement.
For provider/IBO conflict, first test the app idle with no import, download or recording. For audio/subtitles, inspect tracks actually supplied by the media. For disk failures, check the configured path, free space and reserve.
